BomBeez is a four-player Bomberman-style arena game developed over two weeks as part of a UQAC course, in a team with two other developers. Players place bombs to destroy crates, collect power-ups (health or increased bomb range), and trap opponents on randomized grid maps.
I served as the sound designer and implemented the entire main menu interface.
The biggest challenge was mastering Unreal Engine’s tools and workflow: I concentrated on designing and coding responsive menus in C++ while getting up to speed with the engine’s architecture.
This project made me realize that UX design and low-level programming aren’t my strongest suits; I decided to focus my career on level design and game design moving forward.
